Welcome to the Teatro Metropolitano, an expanding cultural center in the heart of Medellín, home of hope through art and culture.
The José Gutiérrez Gómez Metropolitan Theater was inaugurated on February 19, 1987. Since then it has been the main stage in Medellín for the dissemination of classical music. It is estimated that in its first 25 years, 3,3 million spectators attended the theater, who saw nearly 4.300 performances.
