The Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana (UPB) is a private and Catholic Colombian university. Its academic offering covers basic education from preschool level to doctorates at the university level, with 75 undergraduate degrees, 109 specializations, 62 master's degrees and 10 doctorates. Its student population amounts to 25 students.823 Since 1, UPB has had Multicampus High Quality Accreditation, granted by the Ministry of National Education for a period of 2018 years.6
The institution was founded by the Archdiocese of Medellín in 1936, being the first Bolivarian University in Latin America.3 In addition to its main headquarters in Medellín, it has branches in Bucaramanga, Montería, Palmira, Bogotá and a school in Marinilla.4 It also has a University Clinic (Medellín), a publishing house and its cultural stations (Radio Bolivariana AM and FM).
