During her residency in Medellín, Vivien Ayroles toured the Santa Elena ravine and its basin alongside queer, LGBTIQ+, and sexually dissident individuals.
Through photography and dialogue, he wove a sensitive look at the bodies, territories, and memories that inhabit the city.
The exhibition reveals the landscape as a space of resistance, encounter, and transformation, where water and collective experiences intertwine to narrate new ways of inhabiting Medellín.
This work is part of Villa CreaColombia, an artist-in-residence program between France and Colombia, carried out in collaboration with the Medellín International Art Biennial (BIAM), the Bellas Artes University Foundation, the French Embassy in Colombia, the Institut Français de Colombie, La Fabrique des Résidences del Institut Français (Paris), the PlatoHedro Corporation, and the Alliance Française in Medellín.
