The Little Theater Association of Medellín, founded in 1975, is the cultural heritage of the city and is located in a Republican-style house that is the architectural heritage of Medellín, in whose central patio lives a bicentennial palm tree surrounded by a cultural device consisting of: two theater rooms, the headquarters building of the Actors Training School, a specialized library, an exhibition hall and a cozy cafe.
The two theaters operate simultaneously throughout the year from Tuesday to Saturday, in which a varied repertoire of the performing arts is offered with their own works, by guest companies and which seasonally become the epicenter of theater festivals.
The entry modality, called “free entry with your Voluntary contribution” was implemented since 2002 and constitutes for attendees a permanent challenge of valuing the arts, an ingenious strategy for training audiences, but mainly a gateway to art manifestations open to all audiences.
