“We are La Linterna, a letterpress printing house in Cali, Colombia, which has been creating and printing street posters using movable type and linoleum engraving since 1934, leaving hundreds of marked walls in Colombia's main cities and a legacy that refuses to disappear. Our workshop is located in the San Antonio neighborhood of Cali. We safeguard three machines dating back to 1870 (Marinoni), 1890 (Reliance), and 1930 (Rápida di Lusso), more than ten shelves full of wooden, lead, and rubber movable type, as well as an extensive archive of engravings that tell a part of Colombia's graphic history.
