The Medellín Cinematheque is a program attached to the Secretariat of Citizen Culture of the Mayor's Office of Medellín and its objective is to be a dynamic and articulating center of the audiovisual sector with the citizenry. The institution seeks to strengthen the promotion, dissemination, registration and conservation of diverse audiovisual practices.
We are a window for the exhibition and circulation of local, national and international cinema. We carry out training processes in different spaces in the city and promote alliances with different projects, institutions, groups, exhibitions and festivals. We are a living, itinerant Cinematheque that brings cinema to every corner of the city where it puts ideas into circulation.
