    Description

There are nights when simply changing the angle is enough to reveal a completely different world. On this day of astronomical observation, we will point our telescopes towards Saturn, the gas giant that this year is once again displaying its rings with an increasingly pronounced tilt, after having seen them almost edge-on months ago.

As night falls over Medellín, we will also have the opportunity to observe a waxing moon, ideal for exploring its craters, mountains and shadows, and recognizing how sunlight transforms its landscape night after night.

Weather permitting, we will complete the tour by identifying some of the stars and constellations that announce the change of season, including the Summer Triangle bidding farewell to the west and the first figures in the sky at the end of the year, Orion and Taurus, peeking out in the east.

We invite you to observe the night sky with telescopes from the terrace of the Medellín Planetarium and to share the beautiful and simple gesture of looking up at the heavens.

The activity is subject to weather conditions.

The event is on Friday, October 15th at 7 pm on the terrace of the Medellín Planetarium.
